Formerly known as the Junior League of Austin’s Hispanic Mother-Daughter Program, Con Mi MADRE is a non-profit organization based in Austin, TX who’s mission is to increase the representation of Hispanic women in post-secondary education through a focus on education and social support services to girls and their mothers.

Con Mi MADRE provides programming for girls and their mothers designed to keep girls on track to graduate high school, help them plan and apply to two or four year universities or other post-secondary options, as well as providing activities to create a stronger relationship between mothers and daughters.

Since 1992, 2,185 mother-daughter teams have participated, with 76% of 733 graduating seniors going on to a two or four-year college. For fiscal year 2011-2012, over  66% of girls were the first in their family to attend college, and 77% came from low-income families.
